Twilight: My Obsession

So I finally got to see Twilight in theaters! It was great, LOVE the movie! But I can say without a doubt that the book is better. Of course I understand they had to condense 500 pages into a movie, but they shouldn't have changed so many things!!! I read somewhere that the movie was designed to be towards a male audience, huge mistake! They left out SO much of Edward and Bella's love and attraction to each other. You can see the chemistry between Kristen and Robert, their kissing scene WOW that was amazing! But all I can hope is that for "New Moon" they give more of what the readers are looking for. Again, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the movie, Edward is my obsession, but you have to read the book. Team Edward!

1st time to babysit for Alix

Tonight Scott and I babysat our niece Alix. She's was SO good! She will be 6 months old in two weeks and as you can see she's already sitting up on her own without much help. She's playing with her giraffe in this pic:

Look at those little feet!

I love this outfit on her, and look at those sweet baby blue eyes!

October is here!

Yes yes October and fall are finally here! I love summer, but fall just brings so many exciting events. College football is in full swing (Might I add that Alabama is dominating!), fall clothing is starting to come out. But you know what my favorite thing is about October??? MARCHING BAND FESTIVALS!!!!!!!!!! AHHH I can't wait to be in the stands watching 30+ bands on a Saturday. I haven't decided which ones I'm going to yet. Last year I went to Pell City Marching Festival. I was suprised to find that it wasn't as big as it used to be, it's sad. I also went to Pinson Valley's festival, there were quite a lot of bands there. I wish I could have stayed to the end. This year I'm sure I'll go back to Pinson. Anyone know of any other competitions close by?
Anyone else excited about October?!?! Or am I the last standing band geek?

Peace Love & Shopping

I just watched the most anxiety filled episode of MTV'S "True Life" show. It was True Life: I'm a compulsive shopper. I am nooooo where near the shopaholics that these girls are, but the things they were buying and the way the talked about shopping giving them a rush was SO familiar to me.
Like I said in the blog before, I will get these ideas of something I want in my head and until I get it, the thought just CONSUMES me, I think about it constantly. Whether it's a CD, a dress, a type of shoe, etc. I just can't think about anything else. And I will get anxious the night before a day of shopping to where it takes me a long time to go to sleep. But I'm a very thrifty shopper. The only reason I would pay more than $15.00 for a shirt is if it's Abercrombie or Hollister. I can deal with the expensive stuff if it's a Label. But that's pretty much the most expensive stores I shop in. I'm a bargain queen, I get a rush from finding stuff really cheap! And I LOOOVE shoes but I'm very thrifty when it comes to those too. Most of the time I'm just a window shopper. I can have a great day shopping by just LOOKING at stuff and only buying maybe one little thing. I love to browse and see what's new, it's so exciting. So maybe that's where I have my addiction under control. So that's a good thing. But lemme tell you watching that show gave me such anxiety, I wanted to go shop right then and there!!!! These girls were over $10,000+ in debt. One girl had all of her furniture repossessed. So sad! But anyway, you should really watch that episode, it was really good. Well that's it for today, I'm going shopping tomorrow................. ;)

It's Thursday

I'm at work right now with some down time so I thought I'd do another post. Last weekend was a lot of fun, soooo busy but the shopping was good. We found a beautiful dress for Rebecca at the same designer that I bought MY wedding dress from! Davids Bridal sucks, they're over priced and their staff only caters to the rich girls while you're there. They only asked us once if we needed any help and after that they were caught up with the diva's in the store. Oh well, we didn't need them anyway!

So I got to meet Victoria's new baby boy monday!!!!!! He was born Sunday Aug 3rd at 5:18pm. He is SUCH a cutie pie and so tiny!!! Only 6 1/2 lbs!! But he did come 2 weeks early so.

When I get an idea in my head of something I want to buy it consumes me. I'm REALLY wanting the Third Eye Blind Collection cd right now and I can't find it anywhere. I'm going to have to buy it online I think. I really like this picture of Stephen Jenkins, his hair is gorgeous and I usually don't like hair like this on guys:

But anyhow, those are my thoughts for the day. I'm going to go heat up my breakfast right now (a Cinnamon Bagelful, yum so good!)

So ready for the weekend!

I have such a busy weekend ahead of me. Today I got off work and got to see my niece Alix, Rebecca and Bradley. Best part of my day! I wish I could stay there all the time sometimes. Then Scott and I went out to eat with his friend& his wife from work (Hooters, then Cold Stone Creamery mmmmm).
Tomorrow we're going out to eat with the Sutherlands, not sure where yet, but shopping will probably follow :) Saturday my mom and I are going shopping, since it's the tax free weekend. THEN Sunday I'm going dress shopping with Rebbecca. I'm REALLY excited about that, I love this part of planning a wedding!!!! So that is my plans, I'm super busy

Yay I finally made a blog!!

So I've been wanting for a long time to create a daily/weekly blog. Myspace has blogs but I don't like them all that much. I've always wanted to write in a daily journal but my handwriting is SO SLOW, I guess because I've been used to typing so fast. Anyhow, my cousin's wife Meggan has a blog like this so that's where I got the idea!

My title "Living life, one step at a time" describes me to a "T". Scott and I dated for 4 years, and all we ever heard was "when are you getting MARRIED?! Why are you waiting until 2005?!?!" And THEN once we got married, everyone has hounded us for the past 3 years saying "WHEN are you going to have a BABY?!?!? What are you waiting for?!?!?" People are in such a hurry to rush things in life. I enjoy what I have now. Scott and I have a wonderful life together and I enjoy EVERY SINGLE DAY! I'm not saying we haven't thought about kids, but what's the rush? We've only been married for 3 years, and we're just 25 years old!! So the title of my online blog is very fitting for my life. Just listen to the song "One Step at a time" by jordin sparks, it's my favorite.
